Chart topping Scottish band The Fratellis will play in both Glasgow and Edinburgh on the same night at Hogmanay.

The Fratellis, who this year released their debut album Costello Music, are widely regarded as one of the best new bands in Scotland. Jon, Barry and Mince - all from Glasgow - have most recently supported The Who at the Roundhouse in Camden in London as part of the BBC Electric Proms.

The Fratellis added: "We're really pleased that we are able to perform at both the Edinburgh and Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations on the same night, which is amazing. It's a great way to end what's been an incredible year for us."
